The concept of the market and kiosks (collector view only)

The market is a location where it is possible to buy coins from other account users. Each account can have one kiosk (booth, store) accessible through the market. Different level of kiosks enable different features. The Vault has premium access and as such can offer the widest selection of coins. Any kiosk can eventually reach the same level as the Vault.

The market offers 3 options for acquiring coins:
  • Direct access to the Vault's kiosk.
  • Random access to any kiosk in the market. This allows user to find any store in order to maximize market interractions. The greater the number of individual coins present in the store, the better the odds to be the chosen kiosk.
  • Specific access to the kiosk of the user's choice by entering the user's pouch id or alias. Perfect to find a known kiosk for quicker visit of the user's favorite location.

The market offers 2 options for setting up its own kiosk:
  • Creation of sales and promotion offers for coins
  • Viewing your kiosk to see what other accounts would see (preview mode)

Kiosks offer 3 type of sales:
  • sales which is a percentage of a markup decided by the user
  • promotions which is a favorable percentage of a markup decided by the user
  • bid which is an auction for coins to be acquired. This feature is not enabled for lower level kiosks.

Each coin for sale in the kiosk can have a finite time (start time, and end time) in which the end time is clearly displayed as a countdown. An amount can also be specified which will determine the size of a transaction by selling the coin units in a pack (bundle of a certain amount of coin bits). The quantity of the number of offers available depends on the total amount of the coin owned and the size of the packs that were created. For example, if a user owns 10 units of a coin, and decides to create packs of 2, there will be 5 packs offered. If, on the other end, the same user decides to create packs of 3, there will be 3 packs offered and one unit of the coin will not be able to be sold. When a coin is in a kiosk, all parts of that coin that can be offered will be offered except for the remainder that doesn't fit in the determined pack size.
